Her Majesty The Queen's Gold Medal is one of the Royal Australian Navy's oldest and most prestigious awards. it is awarded to officers who have exhibited the most exemplary conduct, performance of duty and level of achievement whilst undergoing initial and application course training. it is open to all officer trainees.
  2. The 2007 recipient was selected from a very strong field of officers who had completed either initial entry, phase 111 or application course training during 2007.
  3.  The queen's gold medal recipient for 2007 is SBLT M. QUINTIERI in recognition of his outstanding performance during SUAC in 2007.”

• Honorary Life Memberships - The Association does not have any criteria for nominating members for Honorary Life Membership. The committee have now approved a draft “Criteria and Procedures for Nominating Members for Life Membership” Your comments are requested. Download here. This proposal will be put to the AGM in November for ratification.
   
• Service in HMA ships - We get numerous requests about scribes service on ships and the year. This major project is now being undertaken and although biographies do give some insight - you can’t read every biography. From a history point of view and to help scribes research who they served with a dedicated section would be more helpful. This has now been created on the left under ‘Service’ - it will take many years to get this section completed properly. What we need from scribes is: ship - date in - out - rank whilst serving on that ship. Remember only HMA ships. Our email address is above.
